Scott Keller formed Heritage Tree Service of Texas, a full-service tree care company, to preserve the trees of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He is an arborist certified by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) and has over 25 years experience working with trees.His passion for trees began during his early childhood days while climbing the large Mimosa and Sweetgum trees in the yard of his Houston home.
His tree-related experience includes the following:

Tree installation and establishment
Ongoing tree care and maintenance
Diagnosis and treatment of tree issues (damage, insects, disease)
Tree preservation and protection from construction
Tree Removal and Stump Grinding
In addition to his tree care business, Scott has two years of experience with a North Texas tree farm. There he learned tree production, installation and transplanting. He worked with municipal arborists, parks personnel, landscapers and construction companies to beautify city, commercial and residential projects.
Scott is also an avid gardener and plant collector specializing in native and well-adapted perennial plants.He lists the inclusion of his Rudbeckia nitida on the cover of Neal Sperry’s 2008 annual garden calendar as a personal gardening achievement.His home Salvia collection includes over 25 different species of the versatile group of perennials.
On a personal note, Scott lives in McKinney, Texas with his wife and two sons, who also like to climb trees. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University and has graduate degrees from University of Texas at Dallas.He is an Eagle Scout and is involved in his son’s Boy Scout troop and church.
